FOCUS Goals for week of March 25, 2013

FOCUS Goals for week of March 25, 2013

I am so glad I had the chance to read this book. I have learned so much about Mass, Faith, and have developed a greater appreciation for the Mass and church history. There were times I got chills and tears in my eyes. A wonderful book to read during Lent or anytime. It also left me more at peace with the book of Revelation. Our group was amazing at sharing thoughts, ideas, fears and giving encouragement to each other to continue to learn more. I am thankful for this book and those who took the time to read it along with me!
New Goals, comments, and excuses are in purple below.
Goals for a Better Home
1. Personal Focus to better my relationship with God.
Daily: Start and end each day with prayer. Read two chapters in the Bible. Serenity Prayer
Weekly/Monthly: Read 1 Chapter in “Reasons to Believe”.  This is another Scott Hahn book I have had for awhile. We had our last study group last night, I was sad to be done with the book and the discussions. We are all talking about doing something again starting at the end of the school year.
Run 3 days. This week is packed in the evenings and days with Easter church and soccer stuff. So I am giving myself one less day of commitment here.

2. Remove distractions at key times.
Daily: No computer 6:30-8:00am and 3:00-5:00pm (after everyone is home)
Weekly/Monthly: CUT BACK ON ELECTRONIC TIME!

3. Add something to give more of me to my family.
Daily: Morning Blessing, Morning Prayer with kids is hard, I am determined to keep trying!

Weekly:  Still working on household order and better meal planning.
Monthly: Take my husband on a date.

Focus Goals for March 18, 2013

Crazy Busy

In case you hadn't noticed my lack of score posting I was the crazy busy last week. Well I guess I can't go from chaos to peace in one week.

The kids and I were able to head out of town for part of spring break thus my late posting this week. Being out of town gets me off the hook for part of the week on house goals. Though I should be helping out more at my parents house, but instead I seem to revert to being their child again and not doing much.

FOCUS Goals for week of March 11, 2013

Which will I be this week???? I am hoping for the 1st one! Stay tuned to find out!
Peacefully Busy
Crazy Busy

Well last week I barely kept my head above the water and I think I was the crazy busy. I never caught my stove on fire possibly only because I barely had a chance to cook dinner. I am hoping for a little more routine in the schedule this week, maybe.? I begin this week a day behind. I had a lunch I had to work at for Church on Monday so wish me luck on the catch up!

New Goals, comments, and excuses are in purple below.
Goals for a Better Home
1. Personal Focus to better my relationship with God.
Daily: Start and end each day with prayer. Read two chapters in the Bible. Serenity Prayer
Weekly/Monthly: Read Part III Chapter 1 & 2 in “The Lamps Supper” and answer questions.  I will miss our meeting next week as I will be out of town. This leaves only one more meeting. I will be sad to see it end and to be done with the book. It has been so great learning and growing my appreciation for the Catholic Mass and faith.  Run 4 days. This unfortunately has taken a back seat to all the kids and other activities. Hoping again to do better this week.

2. Remove distractions at key times.
Daily: No computer 6:30-8:00am and 3:00-5:00pm (after everyone is home)
Weekly/Monthly: CUT BACK ON ELECTRONIC TIME!

3. Add something to give more of me to my family.
Daily: Morning Blessing, I am going to try the guardian angel prayer this week we talked guardian angels in our book study this week. and one on one conversation each evening for all.  Family Lent study.
